Need a little inspiration? Here is a list of tried & tested restaurants that we feel are perfect for business lunches.
South of the river
Vauxhall
Brunswick House- Great for meetings. Sound level is low and great relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful room, quirky with antiques. Fantastic menu and wine list.
Wandsworth
Chez Bruce- Michelin starred restaurant but bistro-esque atmosphere and affordable lunchtime menu. One of the best meals in London.
Brixton
Boqueria- 15/20mins walk from Brixton station or a 5min taxi ride. Fantastic Spanish restaurant, a combination of contemporary Spanish food and traditional tapas.
Clapham
Trinity- Same calibre as Chez Bruce (Michelin starred too). On the pricey side but cutting-edge cooking and impressive standard. Beautiful plates of food, great atmosphere.
North of the river
Victoria
Mango Tree- Away from busy Victoria station but close enough (2mins walk). Modern, spacious and quick service. This is a popular spot for business meetings and they often have promotions on too.
Oxford Circus
The Riding House Cafe- Buzzy bistro style restaurant, great for celebrity-spotting too. Delicious British menu and they also do a fantastic brunch.
Piccadilly Circus
Brasserie Zedel- French restaurant with a separate bar/cabaret area. Exquisite art deco room, fantastic ambience and delicious French food. Very reasonable prices too.
Covent Garden
Rules- Established in 1798 this is the oldest restaurant in London. Very cosy, a lot of velvet and a real atmospheric setting serving one of the best traditional food in town.
Bank
The Ned- Cecconi’s- This is the new place to be apparently. A hotel & members’ club right in the middle of the City of London and with 9 restaurants. Cecconi’s is one of them and is as good as the one in Mayfair. Delicious Venetian brasserie and fantastic cocktails.
Knightsbridge
Mandarin Oriental- Bar Boulud- Perfect for business meetings, spacious, quick service, and modern. Impressive wine list and the duck fat burger is to die for.
Kings Cross
German Gymnasium- A former gym turned into a restaurant. Huge space and buzzy atmosphere serving Mittel-European cuisine. Very cool.
Paddington
The Frontline Club Restaurant- A journalism club with a fantastic restaurant serving modern British/European food with ingredients from the owners’ Norfolk farm. Great wine menu.
